LEARN TO SWIM

Certified NRH₂O Swim Instructors will be conducting Swim Lessons at NRH₂O Family Water Park. This is the fourteenth season for the NRH₂O Learn To Swim lesson program and over 1200 kids have learned to swim in this fun environment over the past thirteen years. The maximum student to teacher ratio is 6 to 1.  At the completion of the class each student will receive a certificate and one-day ticket to the waterpark. 

Swim lessons will be held from 8:15 to 9:15 every Monday through Thursday morning with Fridays as rain makeup days.  Each class will run for two weeks and will consist of eight lessons. The ages allowed in the classes are 4-7 and 8-12. 

Class 1 – June 2 - 13
Class 2 – June 16 - 27
Class 3 – July 7 - 18
Class 4 - July 21 – August 1

JUNIOR LIFEGUARD

Returning again this year is the Junior Lifeguard Program.  It is open to kids between the ages of 11 and 15.  The classes will be held from 8:00 to 9:30 every Monday through Thursday with Fridays as rain makeup days.  Each class will run for three weeks and after the completion of the class each student will be allowed to shadow a lifeguard as they work and get practical experience as a lifeguard. 

Students will learn lifeguarding skills, personal safety in the water, and National Safety Council CPR and First Aid skills.  To aid in the training of the junior guards, each student will receive a one-day ticket to the waterpark to help them observe the lifeguards in action.  Students will receive a T-shirt, whistle, waterbottle, notebook, and a certificate at the completion of the class.  The class is designed to allow the student to develop their skills and aid them when they apply to work at the waterpark or anywhere else as a lifeguard.
